Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Lead a team of Automation and Software Engineers to create the eco system through Automation, Industry 4.0, MES and Digitization projects for Manufacturing, Quality, Warehouse, and other supporting functions were applicable.
- Understand the Manufacturing process and translate the functional demands of Industry 4.0 needs from the internal customers into viable technology to enhance operation efficiency.
- Design mechanical systems for new, or modify existing, automated machinery to automate manufacturing processes.
- Hire and train the direct reports on the relevant Industry and technology to solve complex business problems through simplified solutions.
- Partner with the manufacturing/shop floor team to communicate capability roadmaps and delivery strategy for business technology and solutions. This includes driving I4.0 digitalization initiatives, exploiting new and emerging technologies technology and translate them into viable I4.0 Digital implementation.
- Participating in the project for MES-ERP-I4.0 integration, automation etc. This includes timeline planning, risk management and external vendor management.
- Understanding the manufacturing workflow and collaborating with business owners to identify areas where MES could enable automations/ improvements plans within the manufacturing facilities.
- Understanding data integrity and Computer System Validation compliance regulations. This will help in applying them in process discussions and improvement opportunities.
- Managing projects with regards to Industry4.0, MES, IIoT functionality implementations and etc.
- Manage individual project budgets and schedules and routinely report progress
- Conducting training to the functions on the newly deployed solutions and in the field of I4.0, MES.
- Initiate and support Design for Excellence and manufacturing process improvement / standardization including its supporting functions.
- Engage with Industrial Engineer to optimize layout and product layout floor for new and existing plants during the smart factory implementation.
Educational/Certification Requirement:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering. Master’s degree in related field.
- Knowledge base in automation, digitization and programming through proven experience or relevant certifications.
- Knowledge in MES implementation, OEE, ISA 95, OPC Configuration, I4.0 solution design, development and implementation
- Software programming, IIoT, PLC, HMI, 6-Axis Robot programming, Vision system knowledge.
- Minimum 6 to 10 years relevant experience in Automation, I4.0, MES, IIoT.
- Spearheading a worldwide organization by building the strategy and roadmap for digitizing the factories.
- Proven track record in leading technical & functional team in the relevant field.
- Exposure to latest and emerging technology to turn the traditional factory to Smart Factory.
- Turn conceptual ideas to realization.
- Able to generate turn-key ideas into the manufacturing solutions.
- Exposure to semiconductor industry equipment manufacturing preferred.
- Self-motivated and resourceful.
- Possesses drive with “can-do” attitude.
- Capable of developing positive work relationship, a favorable work environment within the team and other functional group.
- Must able to perform and demonstrate good workmanship understanding according to industrial standard.
- Ability to self-direct on projects and tasks and the ability to manage a team.
- Good interpersonal, communication and presentation skill.
- Able to perform any other task assigned by manager / supervisor.
- Comply to work ethics and integrity.
- Candidate with Six Sigma Knowledge is a plus.
