Job Descritpion of SAP PLM Functional Consultant
6+ Years Relevant Experience
- A SAP PLM Functional Consultant plays a crucial role in implementing and optimizing SAP PLM solutions for businesses.
Responsibilities
- Requirement Gathering: Collaborating with stakeholders to understand business processes and gather requirements related to product lifecycle management.
- Solution Design: Designing SAP PLM solutions based on gathered requirements ensuring alignment with industry best practices and the client’s specific needs.
- Configuration: Configuring SAP PLM modules to meet the defined business processes, including product data management (Specification and Recipe Development) and change management.
- Customization: Implementing any necessary customizations or enhancements to tailor the SAP PLM system to the unique requirements.
- Integration: Collaborating with other SAP modules and external systems to ensure it meets quality standards and fulfills business requirements.
- Testing: Conducting thorough testing of the configured PLM solutions to ensure it meets quality standards and fulfills business requirements.
- User Training: Providing training to business super user on the functionalities implemented and get the UAT sign off.
- Go-Live Support: 2 weeks of post go-live support for each CR in addressing the issues and implementing the fixes along with the technical consultants.
- Documentation: Creating and maintaining documentation for Solution design, configurations, functional design and test evidence documents to facilitate knowledge transfer and future system enhancements.
- Collaboration: Working closely with cross-functional teams including business users, developers, AMS RUN team and project managers to ensure successful PLM project delivery.
- Expertise on Core ABAP, OOABAP, Webdynpro/FPM, Workflow, Adobe form.CDS, AMDP, BOPF, OODATA, Fiori.
- Ability to understand gaps in Standard solutions and propose suitable workarounds or technical solutions / RICEFW.
- Good written & verbal communication, presentation skills.
Good-to-Have
- Exposure to Application Management Support process like Incident Management, Problem Management and Change Management.
- Expertise in Customizing, delivering technical Specifications for enhancements of SAP PLM solution mainly on PLM Web UI/ABAP.
- Good exposure to SAP PLM 7, 02 or S/ 4HANA RD in the areas of SAP Specification Mgmt Recipe Development, BOM, ECM and Classification.
- Strong analytical, problem solving & conceptual skills.
- Onsite working experience preferably in CPG industry.
- Work directly with clients /stakeholders like SME’s, Product Owners in requirement gathering, solution design and solution deployment.
- Team Management.
