Key Responsibilities
We are looking for a Senior HR Taxonomy Functional Expert with strong experience in HR taxonomy design and Python-based microservice development. This hybrid role combines functional HR expertise with technical proficiency to enhance HR data classification, automation, and integration with enterprise HRIS platforms.
The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of HR data structures, cloud-based HR solutions, and API-driven architecture, along with hands-on experience in taxonomy governance and Python development.
HR Taxonomy Development & Governance
- Design, develop, and maintain structured HR taxonomies for job roles, skills, competencies, and organizational hierarchies.
- Define and enforce taxonomy governance policies to ensure consistency across HR applications.
- Align taxonomy models with recognized industry standards (e.g., O*NET, ESCO) and evolving business needs.
- Collaborate with HR, IT, and analytics teams to integrate taxonomies into HR systems, dashboards, and reports.
Python Microservice Development & HR Tech Integration
- Develop and deploy Python-based microservices using frameworks such as Flask, FastAPI, or Django to support taxonomy automation and classification.
- Build and maintain RESTful APIs to integrate HR taxonomy services with systems like Workday, SAP SuccessFactors, and Oracle HCM.
- Work on cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) to host and scale HR microservices.
- Design and maintain data pipelines for transforming and storing structured HR data.
- Utilize machine learning (ML) models for skill mapping, job clustering, and competency analytics.
HR Data Governance & Optimization
- Ensure data integrity and quality by applying standardized taxonomy structures across HR platforms.
- Develop automation scripts and microservices for data validation, cleansing, and enrichment.
- Support workforce planning and talent analytics by structuring HR data for AI/ML applications.
Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement
- Partner with HR, IT, and data science teams to define taxonomy use cases and technical requirements.
- Train HR professionals on taxonomy governance and best practices for effective implementation in HRIS platforms.
- Serve as a liaison between HR functional experts and technical development teams to ensure seamless integration.
Qualifications & Skills
- Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Human Resources, Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field.
- Experience: 7+ years of experience in HR taxonomy development, HRIS, or HR data governance, with strong Python development skills.
- Expertise in building Python microservices using Flask, FastAPI, or Django.
- Strong knowledge of REST API development and working with SQL/NoSQL databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MongoDB).
- Proven experience integrating with HRIS platforms like Workday, SAP SuccessFactors, or Oracle HCM.
- Deep understanding of job classification frameworks, skill taxonomies, and competency models.
- Familiarity with cloud infrastructure and deployment practices on AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
