6 to 8 Years Relevant Experience

• Strong knowledge in Sybase ASE architecture concepts.
• Working knowledge of Installation, configuration, upgrades & EBF patching.
• Should have experience in production database support.
• Backup and recovery methods, including point in time recovery.
• Knowledge on backup, JS Agent, Cron-Jobs.
• Experience on performance tuning and troubleshooting, memory management & analysis of issues.
• Knowledge of dbcc (consistency checks), Reorg, EWA report analysis.
• Ability to troubleshoot Sybase faults / errors Knowledge of Sybase Replication server, Sybase IQ.
• Experience on maintenance activities like reorg, update statistics etc.
• Memory management: ASE DB memory configuration, TEMP DB memory full issues, Log Segment and Default segment extensions.
• User management: Creating roles, users, privileges, password management.
• Knowledge of ASE 15.x and ASE 16Troubleshooting knowledge on deadlocks, blockage, Cache issues, R3Trans issues, log segment issues.
• Basic knowledge on Linux environment.
