SCOM SME will be responsible for collaborating with Windows/Linux Infra team for monitoring solution to determine requirement for monitoring solution.
He/ She will be responsible for supporting the System centre components including Configuration Manager, Service manager and provide problem solution for SCOM components and related custom scripts.
The main objective of this position is to deliver Infrastructure support by supporting the monitoring team to effectively react to IT Events and IT Incidents.
Perform Administrative Tasks and provide application support.
Fine tuning of configuration to maintain performance and functionality of the monitoring solutions in place.
Follow market standard for keeping applications up-to-date.
Manage Customer satisfaction through effective communication & managing customer expectation
Utilize verbal and written communication skills to maintain accurate system documention and provide trainings if required.
Responsible for all System Center Operations Manager (SCOM) applications and Infrastructure.
Subject matter expert on Enterprise class monitoring systems including System Center Operations Manager
Managed migration from System Center Operations Manager 2016\2019 to Operations Manager 2022
Designed and Implemented SCOM 2019\2016 environment with multiple management groups monitoring
Implemented and configured standard Microsoft Management packs: Active Directory, SharePoint, Exchange, SCCM, IIS, SQL, Windows Server etc
Basic Knowledge of Azure and AWS
Implemented and configured 3rd party Management Pack: e.g. URL Genie.
Deployed SCOM 2019 to cater REHL/Windows Monitoring Requirement.
Applied SCOM UR Patches per the Microsoft release.
Creating Scripts to automate routine tasks like Health checks, deploy MPs/ Maintenance Mode
Configue Alert monitoring like url/process/service/Event IDs/logfile/Network & custom Monitoring
